The English Landscape Garden: Brown and Alternative Contemporary Visions

As part of Kent Gardens Trust's celebrations to mark the 300th anniversary of Capability Brown's birth, the well-known garden historian and author, Michael Symes, will give an illustrated talk on Capability Brown and other contemporary developments in the 18th century landscape garden.
New book 'Capability Brown in Kent', which explores Brown’s landscaping and architecture at five Kent estates, will be available for purchase on the day.

Again in 2016 we open our Gardens to the National Gardens Scheme. This is one of two days when the West End, a private family garden, is open to the public. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the NGS.
