Make Riverhill your classroom...

We welcome visits from Schools, Pre-schools and Nurseries.  The benefits of both 'learning through experience' and 'being outdoors' have been well documented.  At Riverhill we encourage lots of play and 'hands-on' exploration.   We feel this is the perfect combination to develop young, enquiring minds and have fun (not to mention the benefits of taking lots of exercise!)  Many visiting teachers have plans of their own but we have also developed some ideas to suit different ages groups and to help you steer clear of the dreaded worksheets!  

The Barn has been newly refurbished for the 2011 season and is available to school groups during their visit to Riverhill.  This light and airy space can be used to complete activities and eat packed lunches (in case the weather is unkind to you) and store belongings.  To ensure availability, The Barn must be pre-booked in advance of your visit.

Pre-booked School Group - Entry only - £3.95 (Min 20 children, 1 free adult/5 children) Additional Adults - £6.50
Additional 'curriculum-linked' Outdoor Adventure Sessions (led by Riverhill Education Team) - from £85
Use of 'The Barn' - £40
