General Opening Times & Dates

2024 Season: 13th March - 27th October

Our opening hours are 10am - 5pm Wednesday to Sunday (inclusive) and Bank Holidays. WE ARE CLOSED ON A MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

Please note that we are a CASHLESS SITE and can only accept payment by card.

Areas of the garden may occasionally be closed for restoration and/or events - please see our Daily Calendar to check dates and plan ahead.

WALLED GARDEN CLOSURES: Our Walled Garden will be closed from 12:00 for Weddings on the following 2024 Saturdays: 8th June, 20th July, 3rd, 17th, 31st August, 14th September.

It will close at approx 2pm on the 1st of June and 13th July, for our theatre performance preparation.

COMMERCIAL / PROFESSIONAL PHOTOSHOOTS: By prior arrangement. We only allow these on Mondays or Tuesdays when we are closed and we do charge. Please contact us to discuss. Please do not just turn up as it is awkward for us to turn you away.

Tickets & Family Activities

All tickets include FREE access to any of the family activities run by Riverhill (subject to availability on the day). We do occasionally offer special theatre and other ticketed events run by third parties; please note that day or season tickets do not include free access to ticketed third party events. Any events requiring an additional ticket are clearly indicated on our Activities & Events calendar.

° Season Tickets & Ticket Upgrades

Our Season tickets are great value; you only need to visit 3 times in the season for them to pay for themselves. You can upgrade on the day so you can try us out first and then convert your ticket (we take off the day entrance and you just pay the difference). Or you can purchase yours online today here. They also make great gifts!

Season Ticket Prices

Adult: £34 (on the day upgrade price - £22)

Child, 4 and over: £22 (On the day upgrade price - £14.50)

Family, 2 adults & 3 children: £93 (on the day upgrade price - £58)

Season tickets are especially handy for the long Summer Holidays. We run a different activity each week, meaning there is always something different to keep the children entertained whilst keeping costs down, as your season ticket includes FREE access to children’s activities run by Riverhill. We also have a great programme of family fun activities running throughout the season. See our Activities & Events section for more details.

You will also receive 15% discount off all Riverhill Gift shop and plant sales (Discount is not applicable on cafe purchases. We are 2 separate companies). Plus discounted ticket offers for Walled Garden events.

We also accept Historic House Membership, Gardener’s World 2 for 1 & RHS Membership

Please remember to bring any supporting evidence with you on the day. If you do not have your HH card, Gardeners World Card or RHS membership card we will not be able to admit you at the discounted rate.

RHS Membership, Historic House Membership and Gardener’s World 2 for 1 cards are NOT accepted for group bookings.

Please note that you cannot combine offers. Gardeners World 2 for 1 cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and is only valid with another entry paying full, adult price (not a Season Ticket).

Gardeners World 2 for 1: We offer a 50% discount for single visitors.

RHS Members: Free access on a WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY ONLY.
