We have a fun, creative programme of drop-in events running throughout the season. All these events are included in your entry price.
We also have outdoor theatre performances in our Walled Garden as well as our adult craft workshops and yoga. There is a charge for these and you need to book in advance.

Celebrating the blooms of Riverhill, especially the incredible Allium and Peony borders in our Walled Garden.
Aimed at our littlest guests. This is a lovely way to spark imaginations and keep little legs moving as you explore the Gardens together.

A new event for us, and a long overdue celebration of our incredible fern collection. Plus a chance to learn more about these fascinating and ancient plants.
Present Laughter is a razor sharp and highly comic exploration of the ups and downs of fame brought up to date for the Instagram age.
This summer lets have an exotic staycation as we turn to the Himalayas for inspiration for our craft activities.
Make a string of flags to take home, plus an extra one to add to the Riverhill Collection, which we will be proudly displaying for the rest of the Summer.
Jinzo, or clay sculpture, is one of the oldest crafts in Bhutan and has been practiced and passed down over the centuries. Design and make your own magical creature to watch over you.
Mandala means ‘circle’ in the ancient Sanskrit language and is used to help create balance and harmony. It is also a meditative and relaxing process, so take your time.
Symbolising oneness and said to protect the sleeper from bad dreams, enjoy using bamboo and wool to create one unique to you.
Make your own shadow puppet with paper fasteners and sticks and then lets put on a show!
It is the last week of the hols and we couldn’t have a whole Himalayan summer without including this guy!
Eden Valley Artists return with a selling exhibition of new works and a refreshingly creative programme of workshops, a good time to try something new.

Our fabulous Pumpkin Festival returns. With BYO carving, Pumpkin Hunt around the Gardens, plus our gorgeous grotto, filled with carving inspiration and autumnal colours.
We will be learning to make little plant pots out of recycled newspaper and then planting a seed inside for you to take home and nurture.

Our fabulous Pumpkin Festival returns. With BYO carving, Pumpkin Hunt around the Gardens, plus our gorgeous grotto, filled with carving inspiration and autumnal colours.
Building on the success of our 2022 exhibition with the Eden Valley Artists, this year they will be drawing inspiration from our magical Rock Garden.

The finale to our 7 weeks of Summer Fun…and we are finishing with a firm favourite. Help us find our forgetful dog, Troy, and all his scattered possessions.
Week 6 and we are making miniature spell books, with cute little twig spines, perfect for recording potions & secrets.
This week we are blending up some magical potions, using a dash of imagination and a fair bit of goblin wee and unicorn tears!

Join us as we tap in to our inner artist and use the plants of Riverhill as inspiration to paint.

Collect leaves and natural objects from the gardens then imprint them into the clay to create a keepsake of your time at Riverhill.

We will be creating a lovely hanging mobile, using natural materials and little treasures.

Make your own little, soft yeti to take home. We will be sewing and sticking in the Summer activity tent this week.

Join us for a royal celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee. We encourage you to come dressed regally and we will be refunding entry for anyone who brings an actual corgi with them.
Come to our jubilee marquee to make your own corgi to promenade through the gardens, waving at your fellow Kings and Queens. Thoroughly silly stuff.
